Meet Our Founder

Riki Brooks-Collins is the definition of lived-in excellence—the kind you don’t have to explain. A seasoned actress, classically trained vocalist, producer, director, and educator, Riki has
spent decades moving effortlessly between stages, studios, and leadership spaces. With training from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and Howard University, and a B.S. in Performing Arts from Bowie State University, her career includes national tours of Dreamgirls, Ain’t Misbehavin’, A Chorus Line, Eubie, and Little Shop of Horrors, each showcasing her refined artistry and magnetic presence.


Offstage, Riki produces and directs acclaimed works, creates community-driven Gospel Festivals, and mentors the next generation of creatives. Honored with the Phoenix Award from Atlanta and a Gubernatorial Proclamation, she has built a legacy of influence, intention, and impact. Now, as founder of Legacy Magazine, Riki channels every chapter of her journey into a platform that celebrates culture, excellence, and the
brilliance of women thriving today.

Grenetta Briggs Mason Managing Editor

   

Grenetta Briggs Mason is the Managing Editor of Legacy Magazine, where she brings decades of leadership, service, and lived wisdom to stories that celebrate women who thrive. Grounded in education, equity, and spiritual purpose, Grenetta is deeply committed to amplifying voices that inspire transformation and legacy-building across generations.

She currently serves as Registrar at the Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center (MEOC), a New York State–funded program dedicated to supporting educationally and economically underserved adults. In this role, Grenetta provides enrollment services, advisement, and mentoring for high school equivalency, college preparation, and workforce development programs. Her relationship with MEOC spans four decades—beginning in 1984 as an adjunct lecturer in computer training and later returning in 2007 to facilitate financial literacy and customer service programs.

Grenetta holds a BA in Mathematics and Sociology from Clark University, an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, and an MS in Education with a focus on Human Resource Development and Training from Fordham University. She is also a Master Life Coach, trained through The Institute for Life Coach Training, and an ordained Interfaith Minister through OneSpirit Learning Alliance.

An accomplished professional with over 25 years of corporate experience, Grenetta spent more than 17 years at JPMorgan Chase, where she advanced from Systems Analyst to Assistant Vice President in Corporate Human Resources Development and Training. There, she led companywide technology training initiatives and developed expertise across coaching, leadership development, business and systems analysis, small business consulting, and organizational training. She has also served as Executive Director of Living Beyond Belief, a nonprofit dedicated to peer-to-peer HIV awareness for youth.

A longtime Harlem resident, Grenetta is passionate about community service and collective empowerment. Through her work, ministry, and editorial leadership, she remains devoted to encouraging individuals—especially women—to live fully, lead boldly, and create meaningful legacies rooted in purpose, resilience, and grace.

Camilla Renay Terrell

  

Camilla Renay Terrell is a the Fashion Editor for Legacy Magazine and a prominent figure in the cosmetology industry.  She is an inductee of Marquis Who's Who. With over three decades of experience, she has excelled as an entrepreneur, award-winning beauty expert, trainer, consultant, and author. Since opening her first salon in 2004, eN' vision Hair and Nails LLC has become known for its diverse, full-service offerings, specializing in color, precision cuts, eyelashes, weaves, relaxers, perms, natural hair, and makeup. Ms. Terrell's creativity extends to her involvement in fashion shows and media productions, where she collaborates with photographers, models, and industry leaders.   Ms. Terrell is a licensed minister  . Ms. Terrell wrote "Guidance for Your Journey, An Entrepreneur's Manual for Success in Business," for which she was named Author of the Year by the Secret Place Book Club in 2015.
